In the penalty shootout, many were on edge as history hung in the balance. United opted to go first, with Bruno Fernandes stepping up confidently. However, the tide seemed to turn again when Arsenal's Kai Havertz, already having a rough day that day, missed his penalty. His lack of conviction was evident, leading to a crucial save from United's goalkeeper, André Onana. The missed penalty became the turning point; the energy around the stadium visibly shifted.
