We learn about Michelle's motivations as she is driven to join the "Cause"—a group opposing the oppressive process—due to her brother Andre's tragic past and wrongful death at the hands of Ezekiel. Meanwhile, players are faced with an emotional task involving their family members, wherein they must choose between monetary benefits or remaining in the deadly competition.
During this phase, characters such as Fernando and Raphael struggle with their allegiances and motivations. Fernando’s ethical dilemmas come to the forefront while he’s pressured by familial expectations, and Raphael confronts his own troubled history with his mother, showcasing the personal stakes that complicate their desire to succeed in the process.
