Part 3/8:
LL Cool J's love for music began when he started writing rhymes in his early teens. By age 11 or 12, he was actively crafting verses, culminating in the launch of his career when he partnered with Def Jam at 16. He reminisced about some of his early work, notably an impressive array of lyrical constructions he made at just 12 years old. One standout rhyme featured a mysterious aura surrounding him that instilled dread in other MCs. This early display of creativity and skill laid the groundwork for what would become a monumental career.
