In the Book of Enoch, the Watchers descend to Earth and select human women to marry, thereby introducing a new race of beings: the Nephilim. These creatures embody a blend of divine and human traits, inheriting not only physical strength but also a taste for destruction. The Nephilim consume the resources of mankind, leading to a period of chaos and famine. As they grow in power, they turn against their human creators, leading to a catastrophic cycle of violence and cannibalism amongst themselves.
The once-thriving civilization of Nephilim gradually falls from grace, and as their control diminishes, humanity rises up against their oppression. Their downfall is marked by a final purge, banishing them to the depths of darkness, where they remain prisoners of their own making.
