In the whirlwind of events, Cruso escapes into the house, nearly getting caught by Annie and startling Angus's sister, Christy. When Lewis discovers Cruso, he is initially terrified but ultimately intrigued after learning that it is a unique aquatic creature. He explains that only one seahorse exists at a time and that these creatures possess magical properties.
Things escalate as Cruso, still hiding from Annie, begins causing chaos in the house, which leads to its wrongful blame on Strunk’s dog, Churchill. Amidst the confusion, Cruso’s mysterious nature continues to deepen, as Angus endures internal struggles about keeping their newfound friend versus releasing him back into the sea.
