Edmond's cell is a grim setting, featuring a wooden door that opens just once a year. His cries for justice dissipate into the void of his solitary confinement, and soon hope becomes a distant memory, leading him to the brink of madness.
Yet, in a turn of fortune, the groundwork for his liberation begins. When the floor of his cell mysteriously shifts, Edmond is shocked to discover a fellow inmate named AB emerging from the underground tunnel he has been digging for five years.
