As Dan works in security, the film captures the holiday madness at the airport, showcasing his ambitious nature as he seeks a promotion to scan luggage instead of checking boarding passes. With the help of his friend Jason, he is assigned to the scanner, unwittingly placing himself in a position that will put his family's safety at risk.
