The Journey of Timen: The Rise of Genghis Khan

The tale centers around a young boy named Timen, who at the tender age of nine is tasked with a significant responsibility: choosing a wife. Guided by his father's advice, Timen seeks a girl who possesses fair skin, good health, a broad face, small eyes, and most importantly, strong legs. His father believed that a girl with agile, powerful legs could bring joy to her husband’s life. Eventually, Timen selects a girl he adores, but his joy is tempered when his father expresses disappointment; Timen has chosen a girl from their rival tribe rather than the enemy tribe from which a marriage could foster peace.
