Part 5/9:
Years later, Timen, grown into a capable young man, fulfills his promise to marry Borte, the girl he had chosen years prior. Although he returns with nothing but rugged looks, she willingly accepts him as her husband. However, their happiness is abruptly cut short when members of the rival Merit tribe come to claim Borte, arguing that Timen's mother had once been taken from them. In the ensuing chaos, Timen is injured and Borte sacrifices her freedom to save him.
Determined to rescue her, Timen enlists Jamuka’s help, and though Jamuka initially refuses citing Mongol law, he agrees after Timen pleads for assistance. They raid the Merit tribe, and Timen finds Borte, who is now pregnant. Although there's uncertainty about the child’s paternity, Timen vows to raise it as his own.
