Hospitalization and Recovery
Confirming that something was amiss, Si's friends received a call the next day revealing he had been admitted to the hospital. Upon visiting him, McMillan noted that Si seemed very uncomfortable. In a stark contrast to his usual upbeat demeanor, Si expressed considerable pain and mentioned that he might have broken some ribs. The severity of his condition became more evident as he underwent tests and examinations.
Following the examination, it was reported that Si's oxygen levels were low, prompting concern among his loved ones. The attending physicians attempted to provide him with pain medication, but to their surprise, Si initially declined any pain relief, leading to speculation that he might have been trying to appear tough.
