Puan and Zamian’s relationship evolves as they endure the hardships together, aiming to comply with the increasingly rigorous standards of the prison. Their camaraderie is tested in various circumstances, and Zamian’s deteriorating health leads him to the brink of death, exemplifying the dire consequences of hunger and neglect in their confined existence.
When Puan is transferred to a new cell, she meets Tenna, who exposes the horrifying nature of the prison’s reset system. This moment serves as a catalyst for their shared escape plan, framing the cyclical nature of hope and despair within the prison walls. But, the film again exposes the hostile environment where even small acts of rebellion lead to punishment.
