Part 3/8:
The story shifts to Sui Castle, where martial artists from all walks of life gather to compete in the annual death game. Among the participants are not just warriors but also slaves and prisoners, each vying for a chance at the coveted gold. Tensions flare as egos clash, particularly between Guang Han from the Kuro Temple and Fong Yong from Tongan, igniting a conflict that is swiftly quelled by the renowned swordsman Ning Ha.
As the participants are released from their shackles, a subplot unfolds when Jing takes revenge on a guard who harassed a woman he admires. Then, the organizers explain the mechanics of the first trial, called the Maze of Greed, where participants will be tempted with piles of gold but must navigate carefully to avoid deadly traps hidden within.
