The Grim Reality
The confrontation ushers Thom into a horrifying realization. Upon the termination of the simulation, he awakens to the devastation of old age—a husk of a once-proud man. The Blue Goose stands transformed from a spaceship into a decrepit shell covered in an alien fungus. Thom’s nightmare intensifies as he discovers Ray and Suzy lifeless in their pods, their bodies wasting away, a testament to the chilling passage of time in this alien bubble.
As the truth unravels, Thom encounters Greta once more, this time in her terrifying alien form. In a state of sheer panic, he screams but, in a twist, awakens back in the cryo chambers, blissfully unaware of his past experiences. The simulation resets once again, allowing Thom to face the same scenario he believed was new.
