The story begins with an unfortunate incident that sparks the formation of Lifeline. A young girl drops her engagement ring, leading to a tragic elevator accident that claims her life, as well as the life of a good Samaritan who tries to help. From this point, the narrative digs into a world where the agency, equipped with advanced technology, can detect potential deaths 33 days in advance. They reach out to an agent named Conner, who works alongside his wife Haley, both trained to save clients from their fated deaths by sending them to alternate timelines. However, their rules make it clear: they will only save paying clients, leaving innocent bystanders to their grim fate.
