Just as Frau seems to find stability in her routine, the unpredictability of life asserts itself devastatingly. The joy of new life when Bella gives birth is overshadowed by tragedy as the dark specter of violence invades Frau’s sanctuary in an unthinkable act of brutality. The slaughter of Lynx, her steadfast companion, shatters the thin veneer of her newfound strength.
The horror of that moment forces a transformation within Frau, leading her down a path of vengeance. The childhood notion of mercy collides with her bleak reality as she learns that survival often comes at a violent cost.
