Fonseca is not the only rising star making a mark in the tournament. Among the standout players is Jakob Menik from the Netherlands, who successfully eliminated Casper Ruud—the current world number six—advancing to the second round. Menik, who is just 19 years old, is already making headlines with his performance. He and Fonseca are connected, having faced off at the Next Gen ATP Finals last December, where Fonseca narrowly defeated Menik in a tightly contested match that was decided in a fifth-set tiebreak.
