Part 3/9:
Tolkien's mythology includes a total of seven ages. The significant events from both "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings," including Frodo's mission to destroy the One Ring, fall within what is known as the Third Age of Middle-earth. This has led many viewers and readers to assume a straightforward sequence of only three ages; however, the naming conventions, particularly of the Third Age as "the Third Age of the Sun," indicates a more nuanced history.
