Part 2/8:
Davis's transformation began dramatically when he experienced a growth spurt that added seven inches to his height in just one year. This sudden growth shifted him from a 6'3" shooting guard, working hard for his sole scholarship offer, to a towering 6'10" player capable of dominating the paint. Before joining Kentucky, Davis played high school basketball at a modest charter school in Chicago that lacked both a gym and a compelling track record in the sport. Despite this, he averaged an impressive 32 points, 22 rebounds, and 7 blocks per game during his senior year, earning attention on the AAU circuit.
