Part 3/6:
During their journey, the quartet of astronauts will conduct 22 experiments, primarily focused on crew health. Noteworthy objectives include capturing the first-ever X-ray images of a human in space, investigating blood flow restriction exercises to maintain muscle and bone mass, and growing mushrooms in microgravity as a potential long-term space crop. Interestingly, while many of these experiments do not specifically require a polar orbit, the mission's chosen route emphasizes the uniqueness of the voyage.
The crew has reportedly begun training for the mission in 2024, engaging in activities set in extreme environments both in Alaska and at SpaceX's headquarters in California. The mission is slated to last between three to five days.
