Now, carefully add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate to the whipped mixture. The texture of the chocolate will offer a delightful contrast to the creaminess of the ice cream. It’s worth noting that you could also use chocolate granules or chocolate chips, but make sure to opt for a high-quality chocolate instead of lower-quality coating chocolate.
4. Fold Gently
Using a spatula, gently fold the chocolate into the ice cream base. Be careful to maintain the mixture’s lightness as you do this; you want to keep that airiness that makes your ice cream fluffy.
5. Freeze
Transfer the mixture into a container with a lid and place it in the freezer. While a minimum freezing time of seven hours is recommended, for the best results, leaving it overnight yields the ultimate creamy texture.
