This South Korean animation, produced in collaboration with Angel Studios—the company behind the hit series The Chosen and the film Sound of Freedom—has set a high bar for religious animations. Upon its debut, "The King of Kings" earned more than $19 million in its opening weekend in the U.S. alone, surpassing the previous record held by Disney's The Prince of Egypt, which had stood at $14 million since 1998.
