Under his regime, his country flourishes; there's no poverty, and its citizens enjoy remarkably high living standards. Doom genuinely believes that he is acting for the greater good, proposing radical solutions to global issues such as wars and famine, which interestingly aligns with Stark’s aspirations during the Age of Ultron.
This complexity is crucial as it redefines Doom's character from merely a villain wanting to dominate to someone whose methods and intentions might be seen as heroic, albeit his approach is authoritarian. This layering creates ample narrative space for a character arc that transitions from perceived antagonist to misunderstood figure.
