One key aspect of this discovery lies in the sublimation process; this occurs when a solid transitions to a gas without a liquid phase. When subjected to relatively lower temperatures, lithium oxide can vaporize without introducing moisture, which is detrimental to battery performance. This safe reaction allows for a more efficient energy output.
