However, there are still obstacles to overcome. Currently, lithium oxide is not widely used in the industry and needs to become more affordable in the market. Fortunately, it can be easily produced from other lithium compounds, like lithium hydroxide. The research team is collaborating with industrial partners to facilitate large-scale production, targeting a timeline for completion by 2026.
