Part 2/7:
We continue the theme as we explore different scenarios involving addition. We count butterflies in a garden, where five larger butterflies are joined by four smaller ones, giving a total of nine butterflies. Similarly, we help Mateo figure out how many books he has after receiving additional gifts from his grandmother and mother, ultimately revealing that he has three books altogether.
These hands-on counting exercises reinforce early math skills while keeping the children engaged through real-life scenarios.
Engaging Contexts
As the problems progress, we utilize various fun situations to make math practical. From counting baby chicks at Grandpa’s farm to tallying cookies in a jar, each example allows children to relate these problems to everyday life.
