Part 4/14:
One of the Nazi Party’s early successes in expanding its influence was acquiring a newspaper in December 1920—funded initially through Dietrich Eckart's personal resources—which helped amplify Hitler’s message. By mid-1921, membership had skyrocketed from around 200 members at the start of the year to over 3,200, thanks largely to Hitler’s fiery speeches. These gatherings, especially in Bavaria, became highly attended events where Hitler dominated as a charismatic speaker, emphasizing the supposed injustices inflicted by the Treaty of Versailles, foreign Jewry, and Marxism.
