One of their infamous acts was the targeted killing of Matthias Sbgá, a prominent critic of the Weimar Republic's reparations policies. Sbgá had survived an earlier assassination attempt but was eventually tracked down and murdered in August 1921 by members of Organization Consul, who shot him multiple times and then executed him with multiple shots to the head—an ominous sign of the lethal violence on the political street.
