Part 3/11:

The German military’s reinforcement strategy was far from even. Army Group B, responsible for the Stalingrad sector, suffered the most casualties—over 156,000—yet received the fewest reinforcements. In contrast, Army Group Centre, which was less critical to the immediate fighting near Stalingrad, received more reinforcements than it suffered losses. This uneven allocation meant that the forces in and around Stalingrad, particularly Paulus’s Sixth Army, were constantly starved of reinforcements when they needed them most.
