Part 3/7:
Setting Intentions and Awakening the Spine
With a heart-centered focus, participants bring their hands to their heart space, touching the thumbs to the sternum. Yogi Emanual encourages setting a personal intention for the practice, fostering an environment of self-discovery.
The first physical exercise is the Sufi Grind, which entails rotating the spine in a clockwise motion. This movement not only warms up the spine but also enhances digestion, reminding participants of the interconnectedness of the body and energy flow. As they rotate, practitioners keep their eyes focused upwards, deepening their connection to the universe.
