We begin in a comfortable seated position by invoking a mantra: “On Namo Guru Dev Namo”. This mantra calls upon one’s higher self and the collective consciousness, serving as a grounding yet spiritually uplifting practice. After repeating the mantra three times, we transition into physical movements focused on awakening the spine.

Sufi Grind Sequence

The session starts with the Sufi Grind. Participants lean forward and rotate their bodies in a circular motion, alternating directions. This movement involves an intricate connection between breath and movement, where inhalation accompanies expansion forward, and exhalation is linked to rounding the back. This practice focuses on the pelvic area, abdomen, and ultimately leads energy flow through to the heart and throat centers.
