Transitioning into a more dynamic technique, Karissa introduces the Breath of Fire. Here, participants can either adopt a kneeling position or remain cross-legged. The Breath of Fire involves rhythmic panting, akin to the lightness of a playful pup. This practice brings energy into the system, oxygenating the blood and revitalizing the body. Karissa reminds everyone that it’s okay to pause or modify their approach based on individual comfort.
After this invigorating exercise, participants return to a seated position, bringing hands into prayer pose at the heart center. This is followed by chanting the mantra "Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo," which serves as a humble invocation to connect with the higher self.
