Establishing the Space for Transformation
The practice opens in a seated position where participants are guided to create a physical and energetic space conducive to transformation. As they find comfort on their mats, they’re prompted to take deep breaths, consciously softening their bodies and minds. The deep inhalations and audible sighs serve not merely as breathing exercises, but as a fundamental way to relieve tension, massage the nervous system, and connect deeply with the present moment.
Following the breath awareness, the group engages in chanting a Guru Mantra, which serves to set intentions and open up pathways for energy flow, reinforcing camaraderie and shared purpose.
