Part 3/7:
Central to Kundalini Yoga is the practice of specific breathing techniques and movement formations, known as kriyas. These practices train the mind to bridge the connection between the physical and spiritual. The use of breath, especially techniques such as the "breath of fire," is paramount. This rhythmic breathing pattern energizes the navel—the center of willpower and spiritual connection.
Participants are guided through sequences that combine breath with movement, igniting a deeper connection to their intentions as well as their bodily capabilities. For example, an engaging exercise involves rhythmic leg movements coordinated with breath cycles, which is said to activate energetic points in the body and reinforce willpower.
