Having settled into a steady breathing pattern, the session transitions into the popular Sat Kriya, an essential sequence aimed at stimulating energy. The physical alignment is important. Participants sit on their heels with a straight spine, arms raised, practicing a chant that ties movement with sound. With each round of Sat Kriya, there is a focus on holding energy in the body—a moment to gather strength before exhaling and releasing that tension.
As the physicality continues with spinal flexes, participants inhale and exhale with intention. The leader encourages them to feel the movement ripple through the spine rather than the head, promoting awareness of bodily sensations. This exercise is vital for awakening the dormant Kundalini energy, believed to reside at the base of the spine.
