Inhale from the Left Nostril: Following the exhalation, breathe in slowly through the left nostril.
Exhale from the Right Nostril: After inhaling, close the left nostril and exhale through the right.
Inhale from the Right Nostril: Next, breathe in through the right nostril.
Repeat the Cycle: Continue this alternating pattern: exhale from the left, inhale from the left, exhale from the right, inhale from the right.
Deepening the Practice
As participants engage in this rhythmic breathing, it’s essential to focus on slowing down the breath. The instructor encourages elongating the inhalation and exhalation to promote relaxation and mindfulness. Ideally, practitioners should aim for a smooth and gradual flow, contributing to a deeper connection with the self.
