The session begins in a standing position with feet hip-width apart and knees gently bent. Joelle encourages participants to let the upper body hang down, allowing for natural movement by swaying side to side or bending one knee and then the other. This initial unwinding of the body helps in fostering a sense of relaxation and awareness of the lower back.
To transition into the seated section, participants shift to a comfortable seated position with one leg extended to the side and the opposite foot planted against the inner thigh. Leaning towards the extended leg offers a gentle stretch to the lower back and aids in releasing tension in the body.
