Piriformis Syndrome
Piriformis syndrome occurs when the piriformis muscle becomes tight and weak, compressing the sciatic nerve underneath it. A sedentary lifestyle, characterized by excessive sitting—whether at a desk or in a car—frequently exacerbates this condition.
