Stretches for Bulging Discs
For those suffering from sciatic pain caused by a bulging disc, specific back bends can provide much-needed relief. Here are three variations to consider:
Sphinx Pose: Lie on your stomach with your elbows beneath your shoulders. Gently push through your elbows while pulling the mat towards you, which helps create space in the spine and relieves pressure on the discs. Repeat this for three to five cycles of three breaths each.
Cobra Pose: This pose allows you to elevate your upper body more significantly. Place your hands near your low ribs and perform the same actions as in the Sphinx Pose, focusing on heart and shoulder alignment.
