Seated Pigeon Variations
For Seated Pigeon, cross your right ankle over your left thigh and gently rock side to side. Switch sides after a while, crossing the left ankle over the right.
Subsequently, make your way to Downward Facing Dog. This pose will help set the stage for further hamstring and lower back stretches.
Deepening the Stretch in Downward Facing Dog
Once you find your footing in Downward Facing Dog, take a moment to stretch out the backs of your legs. You can also bend your knees and move around to ease into the posture before lifting the right leg up, bending your knee, and circling your hip.
