Starting from the Ground Up
The routine begins with the participants transitioning to a safe and comfortable position: lying on their backs. The first exercise performed is called the figure four stretch. This dynamic pose gently stretches the piriformis muscle, which is important because the sciatic nerve traverses this tight area.
