Part 2/8:
The class began with a grounding pose: Child's Pose. Participants were instructed to settle at the back of their mats, allowing their hips to sink back as they focused on their breath, directing it to the lower part of their backs. Dr. Melissa emphasized the significance of breath, as it engages the diaphragm and supports the low back.
This first pose served as an important foundation for the remainder of the practice, encouraging relaxation and promoting a mind-body connection before starting the more dynamic movements.
