Despite the birthday celebrations, there are still noteworthy developments to discuss. One significant update is that Microsoft has transitioned several new APIs in Microsoft Graph from beta to General Availability (GA). These APIs facilitate the permanent deletion of various mailbox items, including contacts, calendar events, and folders.
This new feature will assist users in transitioning from Exchange Web Services (EWS) to Microsoft Graph, as Microsoft makes strides to eventually retire EWS, set for October 2026. Users currently relying on EWS are encouraged to begin migrating their code to the Graph APIs and bring any parity gaps to Microsoft’s attention for further support.
