Currently, approximately 450 new Bitcoins are mined each day, but this number decreases over time. Due to Bitcoin's programmed scarcity—halving events that reduce mining rewards—these daily block rewards will eventually dwindle to zero. It is estimated that all bitcoins will be mined by the year 2140, after which no new coins will enter circulation. At that point, the total supply will be locked at 21 million coins, and no further issuance will occur.
