Nestled high above sea level in the Premier Mountains, wolves embody resilience. The region is characterized by harsh climates, with long winters and minimal summer periods, making survival difficult. Yet, wolves have adapted splendidly to these conditions, capable of traveling vast distances in search of food, hunting prey vital for their sustenance.
In these barren landscapes, wolves prey on a variety of animals, from wild sheep to less elusive livestock, including the essential yak, a primary resource for nomadic communities. As humans rely on yaks for nutrition and materials, wolves continue to pose a significant threat. The cycle of predator and prey further complicates the relationship between these animals and their human counterparts.
