The tenth frame in bowling offers a unique twist to scoring. This final frame allows for up to three throws if either a strike or a spare is made. If a player rolls a strike on their first throw, they receive up to two additional throws to maximize their score. If they roll a spare, they receive one additional throw.
For example, if a player strikes, scores another strike, and then knocks down 7 pins, their score would be calculated as 10 (strike) + 10 (next strike) + 7 (last throw), maximizing their potential score in the tenth frame.
Maximum Possible Score
In ten pin bowling, the highest achievable score is 300, which is accomplished by rolling twelve consecutive strikes—a perfect game.
