Photoshop also allows you to experiment with patterns for your strokes. You can choose different line styles or fills, providing a number of creative possibilities. Simply access the stroke settings, select "Pattern," and you can change the stroke to different patterns preloaded in Photoshop.
Drawing Borders Around Objects
In addition to adding borders to texts, you can also do this with shapes or objects in your composition. Use the Magic Wand tool to select the entire object you want to work with. This can help you isolate the area where you want the border to be applied.
Once selected, repeat the process of stroking the selection as previously done with text—navigate to Edit > Stroke Selection, select your color, and choose the preferred thickness.
