Celsius and Fahrenheit: The Basics
The Celsius scale is defined around the freezing and boiling points of water. Specifically, 0 degrees Celsius (°C) is defined as the freezing point of water, while 100 degrees Celsius is the boiling point. However, this relationship holds true only under standard atmospheric pressure, which is one atmosphere (1 atm).
