Mullis acknowledges that there exists a subset of individuals who do suffer from immune deficiencies, but he distinguishes this from the AIDS epidemic narrative, arguing that many of the reported cases may stem from lifestyle choices and other socio-economic factors rather than the HIV virus alone. He recounts numerous stories from individuals caught in the crosshairs of a medical system that regards them more as statistics than people.
In doing so, he draws attention to pregnant women on AZT, suggesting that many of their infants suffer not from HIV but from the consequences of toxic treatments imposed by an indoctrinated healthcare system. The stigma surrounding HIV further complicates the lives of those diagnosed with the virus, leading to additional psychological and emotional distress.
