Conflict Active Phase: Following the shocking event, individuals may dwell on the emotional conflict. During this phase, GNM posits that the body starts to react biologically, with cellular proliferation occurring in the area related to the conflict. For example, individuals facing emotional distress about being unable to "digest" a situation may experience digestive symptoms similar to those of food poisoning.
Healing Phase: Once the emotional conflict is resolved, the body then enters the healing phase. During this stage, symptoms such as diarrhea or vomiting can occur as the system attempts to rid itself of unneeded cells or toxins, akin to how a body may react to a physical illness.
