Post-attack assessments revealed that the Banker's Trust building exhibited characteristics of damage that were largely confined to its lower floors. Remarkably, it bore pulverized dust and fragments of aluminum cladding from the WTC on its roof, hinting at the scale of destruction that occurred nearby. The situation was similar for other nearby structures, which suggested a pattern of damage that seemed disproportionate when considering their proximity to the WTC.
